Well its now the end of another season here at our beautiful riverside retreat at Le Grand Saule in Moncontour, Vienne. We have welcomed visitors from all over the world from America in the West, to Israel in the East, from Denmark in the north to Australia in the south - very cosmopolitan this year especially. Most of our guests have been fabulous and many have kept in touch since they left here - sending messages of good wishes and photographs taken both here in France and back at their homes, so often we get to know their families - if only by photograph. |

This year has seen a cosmopolitan section of guests arriving at our Bed and Breakfast Le Grand Saule. Guests have arrived from all over the world including Canada, USA, Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Majorca, Austria and even Israel - as well as our usual visitors from England, Ireland, Spain and of course France, Belgium and Holland. It all adds up to a very interesting time with stories being told around tables and drinks and an interchange of ideas from one and all. Its amazing how language suddenly doesn't become a barrier when people are having a great time. |

It was great to meet Paul Riley and his friend Paul yesterdaywho stayed overnight here at Le Grand Saule Bed and Breakfast in Moncontour. They were doing a wonderful job cycling 1100 km from Telford in the Midlands to the Dordogne raising funds for Severn Hospice. Well done boys and we hope the rest of your journey to Dordogne goes without a hitch
